Free breakfast bagels for everyone!

Please note this has temporarily been suspended due to the Covid-19 restrictions. We hope to offer this again soon.

Every child at Walnut Tree Walk is able to have a toasted bagel in the morning when they arrive at school, if they would like one.  Bagels are available from a member of staff in the wooden shelter from 8:40 - 8:55am, and are completely free. This is a great way to start each day so that the children are ready for the day ahead!

The National School Breakfast Programme is being delivered by two charities, Family Action and Magic Breakfast, and has been funded by the Department for Education for the next 18 months initially.

Please note that children continue to be the parent/carer’s responsibility in the playground until 8:55am

Breakfast and After School Club

If you are a working parent and need additional childcare, we run a breakfast club from 8am each morning and an after school club until 5:45pm. These are open to children of all ages. The current daily prices for these are:

Breakfast Club: £3

After School Club: £10 (or £5 if picked up before 4:30pm)

These clubs are run by school staff, overseen by the school’s Senior Leadership Team.

Activity Clubs

At the current time we are unable to offer after school activity clubs.

We offer a range of before and after school activity clubs. At the start of the year a club offer letter is sent out and you can apply for a place for the clubs that you are interested in. There are a limited number of spaces in each club, and some are for specific year groups or key stages. Clubs are currently £1 per session (apart from yoga which is £4).
